A BIG THANK YOU TO THE Bremer County Community Foundation for the grant at last night’s awards celebration. Waverly Senior Center Board Chair Cyndi Campbell accepted the grant that will be used for remodeling the lower level of the Senior Center. The remodel will allow the Senior Center to offer more opportunities to the public.

The Bremer County Community Foundation awarded $214,635.32 to 30 projects during the 2025 grant awards celebration yesterday at the Waverly Area Veteran’s Post. These grants will help make a lasting impact on Bremer County communities.

Thank you to the donors for making the funds available. And to the Foundation committee members for including the Waverly Senior Center in its list of recipients.

BAKE SALE CREW-Thanks to all who stopped by
the Waverly Senior Center Bake Sale fundraiser on Saturday, December 21. Thanks for supporting the Waverly Senior Center.

CELEBRATING VETERANS! The Waverly Senior Center celebrated veterans at Comfort Food Friday last week. The veterans were treated to a free meal thanks to the Senior Center and a regular Comfort Food Friday attendee. They also received a free t-shirt. The t-shirts, decorations and pulled pork sandwiches were made possible by a grant from the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation, Iowa Select Farms-My Veteran Hero Program.
